Title track, A Tribute To Magriza follows. Produced not long after the funeral and burial in Levi’s native South Africa, it’s a track shrouded in the turbulence of its maker’s mourning and yet speaks also to his ingrained need for the dancefloor. A relatively minimalist palette yields a rich sound, with a skittering house beat pushing forward through murmuring vocal samples and melodic stabs. It’s a track that reflects Levi’s drive to accept the new equilibrium of his life, with the dynamism and ever evolving beat structure a denotation of time and its passing.
